Overview
One system. Many products. Thousands of users.
The Enterprise Design Language (EDL) is Disney's internal design system — a living Figma component library that maintains consistency and scalability across a complex ecosystem of enterprise applications spanning finance, media engineering, content distribution, and business insights.
As a core contributor, I managed the day-to-day evolution of the system: implementing updates, maintaining component documentation, and ensuring the library remained coherent as the product surface area grew. I also contributed to the next-generation EDL, with a focus on AI integration through MCP development and LLM-powered documentation workflows.
Challenge
What made this hard?
Describe the complexity — scale of the system, number of consuming teams, versioning challenges, design debt, or cross-functional coordination.
Approach
How did you evolve the system?
Walk through your process for managing contributions, deprecating patterns, shipping updates, and communicating changes to consuming teams.
AI Integration
Bringing AI into the design workflow
Share how you integrated MCP, LLM-powered documentation, or AI tooling into the design system and what impact it had on team velocity.
Impact
What changed?
Share metrics, qualitative outcomes, or team feedback — what measurably improved after your contributions.
